On December 9 more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, students, and scientists will gather at Estonian National Museum for sTARTUp Day 2016. Andres Kuusik, festival organizer, shares the concept: “We all know somebody who is involved with a start-up. But do we really know what a start-up is? We’re organizing this event to explore, in detail, this very topic and to inspire people to start a business”.
During the festival, startups will have the chance to present their products and services at the Demo Area. The organizers expect a number of prominent startup and technology figures, including one of the most successful young entrepreneurs in the world Jamie Dunn, the YouTube sensation Christian LeBlanc, and designer of virtual reality Keiichi Matsuda.
“How to Earn if there’s Nothing to Burn?” is the main question international and local experts will try to answer. Entrepreneurs will learn about successful experiences and ways to build sustainable business models.
The festival will pack in more than 40 speakers and founders of successful Estonian startups, tracks on biotechnologies, computer-simulated reality (VR&AR), creative industry, outsourced research and development, sports industry, smart city solutions and space technologies.
