During 9 months a lot can happen to a startup, so did to Tripomatic since we published an interview with them in September 2015. We’ve got an update from Barbora Nevosadova, co-founder of Tripomatic, and are happy to share it with you.
Travel planner Tripomatic from the Czech Republic rebrands to Sygic Travel. They have joined forces with Sygic, the Slovak company behind the most advanced GPS navigation app with over 130 million users. Together they want to provide Sygic Travel app that helps independent travellers at every stage of their trip, including inspiring people where to go or helping them share memories from their trip. At this video you can see what they want to achieve.
One of many things that they are working on with Sygic is virtual reality travel. It will allow people to discover cool destinations with immersive 360° videos using a VR headset such as Samsung Gear or Oculus Rift. If travelers decide to experience the place for real, they can plan their detailed travel itinerary and book everything for their trip at one place. In the destination, travellers can check their daily plan, make changes on the spot or be navigated to their next stop.
“We decided to merge with Sygic because we share the same vision and we both aim to create the best platform for all travelers who want to tailor their trips and do so comfortably and efficiently. We also love that Sygic is a technological company with great experience in mobile industry and we can learn a lot from them,” said Barbora.
In the upcoming months, Sygic Travel will bring in new content, technologies and ideas that will make independent travelers’ lives much easier. Sygic Travel is available for free for iOS, Android or at http://travel.sygic.com.
