MVP Academy, Bucharest-based acceleration program, invites startups with a global potential to participate in its 2016 batch. Applications are accepted until March 31st. The program itself will run between April 11-May 31.
reover, some of the best teams that will be part of MVP Academy batch of 2016 will have the opportunity to raise an average seed investment of 50.000 EUR in exchange for a minority stake in the company from MVP Angels, angel investors network associated with the program.
The program, supported by a networks of 400 mentors, helps early stage technology startups in refining their business strategy and reaching out to global markets. For instance, out of 28 startups that had completed MVP Academy, 13 brought their products to global markets, and over $1 million in seed funding was invested in the program’s alumny. Selected teams will participate in the acceleration for free, and they will have a chance to receive a €50,000 investment in exchange for a minority stake from MVP Angels. MVP Angels is a new initiative launched by the organisers and most active ecosystem players, including successful tech enterepreneurs, business angels, investors. It aims at spotting startups with a potential to disrupt global markets, to which their will provide a €50,000 funding as well as business advise for 6-12 months. The first investment for MVP Angels is InnerTrends, the company helping web and mobile developers to better understand user behaviour and thus, improve user acquisition.
