Anturis founded by Serguei Beloussov (founding partner of Runa Capital and currently as a CEO of Acronis) and Max Tsypliaev (advisor to Runa Capital and a founder of Acronis, another one of Beloussov’s businesses) and Ilya Zubarev (a chairman of the board of Acronis) operates in a $2 billion industry that deals with IT infrastructure monitoring. So the niche is as big for now as online dating, yet the competition is probably less by a level of magnitude. Despite the niche size of the market Runa Capital together with VEB Innovations (Vnesheconombank group) invested $2 million to enable the startup to grow internationally
Anturis cloud-based solution is aimed at small and medium size businesses and ISP (internet service providers) helping them to monitor and trouble-shoot their IT infrastructure at the cost of under $100 per month.
Anturis appears to be a spin-off of Acronis, if not the technology itself but certainly a spin-off of the management team although it is not quite clear who is in the leading position of this new organisation.
