As Angellist steals headlines as a prominent threat to the venture investors elsewhere in the world, in Poland, the stock of an institutional Polish venture fund MCI Management (our sponsor) are the investment vehicle of its own.
According to animujemy.pl, that monitor liquidity of companies listed in Warsaw Stock Exchange, reports that amongst other busineses in “finance and other” sector of the exchange, MCI shares demonstrated highest liquidity. The sales volumes of MCI shares in September reached nearly 5M Euro as of 2nd of October 2013. Its share price has risen by over 120 percent since October 2012,and the market cap reached 151 million Euro.
Perhaps we will soon see more activity not only on the stock exchange, but also in more venture funds being formed and more Polish startups being funded as a result of this seemingly increasing investor confidence.
