LAUNCHub, the Bulgarian startup accelerator, today named 6 startups to receive 30,000 Euro in funding and join its accelerator program next month. 221 applications were submitted and 16 finalists were invited to the Long Weekend, which was the final stage of the application process.
Dragon Inside - company from Bulgaria which sells premium, tailored men’s suits that can be shipped anywhere globally within 20 days.
Excubitor - from Macedonia wants to develop an action video game which will basically make the old game formula accessible to modern gamers, introducing current technologies and game mechanics.
Mr. Monroe - Dutch in origin, listed as a personalized clothing service for men. Unfortunately, their site is only in Dutch.
Transmetrics, based in both Belgium and Bulgaria delivers software for transport network optimization to multinational companies.
TxtFeedback from Romania provides software which allows customers of particular company to text questions or concerns to a listed number and receive an immediate reply text from the company.
UseTogether also from Romania is a free marketplace for people to share their possessions such as books, CDs, boardgames, electronics and other items with other members of the “club”.
Startups which show promise during the accelerator stage could qualify for up to 200,000 euro more in funding.
We previously reported in early December that LAUNCHub had named its initial 6 investees and now they’re announcing the next batch. Backed by 9 million euro, LAUNCHub is one of the larger startup accelerators in Bulgaria. Only Eleven and its 12 million euro is larger at the moment. As we wrote back in June 2012, both are backed by the Jeremie program.
