On November 26-27 the CEE startup community will hang out in Bucharest, Romania, on How to Web Conference 2015.
It’s the event’s 5th anniversary, and they are looking forward to being a platform for knowledge sharing, discussions, and networking. The organizers expect more than 1000 participants from around the CEE to join the event and put the emphasis on hands-on nature of talks and workshops. The international speakers (see the full speakers’ lineup here) will cover topics on product launch, content marketing, product metrics, conversion optimization, growth hacking and other pain points for startups.
During the conference How toWeb there will be a special competition – Startup Spotlight – showcasing early-stage tech businesses. To be eligible to apply, the startup should be based in CEE, to be less than 2 years old have attracted less than $500K in funding. Irina Scarlat, the conference manager, commented: “With a 35% success rate, Startup Spotlight is one of the most successful programs in terms of closed deals. 12% of the companies that closed a deal as a direct result of attending the program have raised a VC investment, 34% have been accepted to an accelerator, 27% closed a strategic partnership, whereas the remaining 27% found a mentor or advisor. Among the alumni of the program, there are some of the rising stars in the European startup ecosystems such as Incrediblue, MavenHut, or AxoSuits.” Check out their stories and the detailed results of the program in the Startup Spotlight Progress Report.
At How to Web entrepreneurs will have a chance to mingle with folks from Techstars London, Seedcamp, Eleven Startup, hub:raum and many other investors. Early Bird tickets are available at the conference website for 170 Euro, the week before the event the price will ramp up to 230 Euro.
