There have been a few transactions over the past week that I would like to briefly summarize in one post.
Probably the most active seed investor in Russia today Igor Ryabenkiy continues to invest in seed businesses. This time this is Black Cat - the startup that offers social media management for brands similar to Hootsuite raised a seed round of 90,000 Euro (1/3 came from Ryabenkiy’s Altair Capital and 2/3 was funded by the government-owned Moscow Seed Fund).
Russian Flint Capital backed SailPay – Russian customer loyalty platform for online and offline retailers, banking services and content websites. The set of tools include gamification, SMS and email marketing as well as recommendation in social media. Over 450 stores are using the platform that engaged 500,000 users. Previously Igor Ryabenkiy backed the startup. The amount of funding has not been disclosed, and will be spent on functionality development.
Finally the startup from St Petersburg Flexymind that builds educational games for children raised undisclosed amount of funding from RWM Capital. The company joined Ingria startup incubator in 2012. This is the seond round of funding the company received. The company claims to have over 1 million downloads.
