Mobile advertisement is a popular space at the moment, as the market is growing at 75 percent per annum (at least in the US). AdMoment is a Russian startup which aims at making mobile advertisement more efficient. The company, which offers companies to advertise on 90,000 apps and mobile websites has just raised $3 Million from Russian VC Prostor Capital ane e.ventures.
The interesting aspect of AdMoment is in the ability of its technology to target the ads. The problem AdMoment is solving is unavailability of cookies and typical audience information available, for example, to web advertisers. To solve this AdMoment use data available to it, such as time, location and app category. For example, during the lunch time the shopping ads are more likely to be shown. During the rush hour gaming apps will be advertised. If a person uses business apps, he or she is more likely to see travel ads on their mobile devices.
AdMoment was founded in August 2012 by Constantin Rosset (Operations at Metro Group Russia, German business school WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management grad) and Philipp Puenjer (former Rocket). Its CTO Vlad Vlaskin led product development in the big data space at Microsoft and eBay. AdMoment launched its first ad campaign in January 2013 and since then ran 100 campaigns for businesses like McDonalds, Visa, Samsung Apps, Toyota and other brands.
