It is interesting to see where the fascinating augmented reality technology will finally find its commercial applications beyond rather a little too realistic first point shooting games. Backed by AVentures Capital, Ukrainian startup Augmented Pixels has just released two augmented reality solutions for businesses. Here they are.
With its first app the startup is capitalizing on a trend of usability of AR tools for sales and marketing, especially increasing the likelihood of purchase based on the initial interaction with the toy. One of them is a marketing tool for toys manufacturers called Warbot. The game allows winning discounts for the toy if they can beat the robot in a shooting game.
Another solution ARHouse is aimed at the architects, real estate agents and construction firms helping them demonstrate real estate projects in augmented reality. We have already covered Hungarian Real5D startup which creates walk-through 3D models of real estate objects – it is seen as a new way to market properties that have not yet been built. What AugmentedPixels is doing with its ARHouse app is much simpler, yet it certainly has extra visualization benefits – as seen here on the video.
