The 7th Commercialization Reactor will take place October 4-5 in Riga, Latvia, reactor adviser Deniss Belajevs tells us. The program, which we first profiled back in April, was created to connect researchers with people who can help them to commercialize their technology. We’ve seen a few successful deals emerge from this program, such as the announcement a few weeks ago that biotech startup Conelum has raised 200K Euro from Imprimatur Capital Seed Fund and the announcement that high-tech startup evOLED obtained 50K Euro in pre-seed funding, also from Imprimatur. As Belajevs told us back in April, more than 2,5 million Euro have been raised through the events and 9 companies have received funding, with 30 more in the pipeline.
These Reactors are free to attend and are held in Riga roughly every 5-6 months. Those interested in attending this event should apply here. Attendees must be fluent in English and Russian and have the time to be able to devote to developing a startup, but other than that, they are looking for experienced and novice entrepreneurs, students of Business Administration and Commerce of BBA or MBA students to join the teams.
