Polish Brainly (branded Zadane.pl in Poland), a service which helps students to learn by offering a an online community where they can post and answer questions and share their knowledge, has invested 240K in exchange for a minority stake in MailGrupowy.pl, a mail service which offers students collaborative online communication tools to exchange emails and lecture notes and created by students for students.
MailGrupowy will direct new funding towards international expansion, create of a mobile app and renewal graphic, and promotion of the service in Polish universities.
We have previously seen note-sharing service Notatek raise an unspecified amount of funding from Poland-based British angel investor Richard Lucas, so it seems that there has been a trend over the past year of investment in various collaborative-study projects.
