Russian mobile developers community Apps4All has obtained $1 million (764,000 Euro) in new funding from Andrei Korkunov, according to Russian newspaper Vedomosti. We previously covered Apps4All, founded in 2011, back in March when they provided us with information about the status of mobile app development in Russia, but now they have news of their own with this latest news. Vedomosti reports that this is Korkunov’s first investment in an internet business and that he has obtained 15% of the company, which expects to reach $1 million in revenue this year. Vedomosti reports that Apps4All is due to release further shares this fall and it is not out of the question that Korkunov will choose to increase his stake in the company.
This is not the first investment that Apps4All has raised, as it is reported that they previously received an unspecified amount (although reported to have been in the hundreds of thousands of dollars) last year from Softline Venture Partners, about whom we have written a couple of times in the past few weeks. Elena Alekseyeva, Investment Director at Softline, said that this new investment will allow for the future development of the mobile ecosystem in Russia.
