Russian Client24, an emailing and SMS service as well as a contact-management platform, has obtained $1 million (761,000 Euro) from Softline Venture Partners, as reported by FIRRMA. Developed by Softline Venture Partners, this service is designed to provide a centralized hub for managing business and personal contacts. For Softline, this become their second investment within a week, as just 6 days ago we had news about their joint investment with The Moscow Seed Fund in CloudBox, a project from ActiveCloud Development.
The platform developed by Client24 offers users a hub where they can manage and communicate with their contacts. The platform allows users to add accounts from Vkontakte, Twitter, Facebook, Android, iOS, Blackberry, etc. and to have a “dossier” on each person, including addresses, avatars, phone numbers, links, notes, logs, etc. Users can then organize their contacts by gender, age, social-status, financial status, and under other categories. As the site is solely in Russian, this service appears geared towards Russian users, at least at the moment. It can be tried out for free, but users looking to send emails or SMS through the service will need to pay. At the cheapest price, the service costs 0.1 ruble per email and 0.4 ruble per SMS. Users who select this option can send up to 10,000 emails or SMS (it would be 24 Euro/month to send the maximum-allowed number of emails and 94 Euro/month for those who decide to max out on their allowance of SMS under this package). There are further pricing plans available.
In a similar style of Mailchimp Freddy, Client24 uses a mascot, which looks more like a Twitter’ Larry Bird dressed as a postman.
