St. Petersburg-based incubator Ingria announces that their residents raised 3,62 million Euro in the first 6 months of this year and that one of their residents, Radario, has entered into a partnership with Radio Record. We just wrote about major investment in Radario a few weeks ago, but now we are already back with news of a partnership and of success for their host, Ingria, in general.
Ingria is an incubator which was founded 4 years ago by the government of St. Petersburg to promote local high-tech small businesses. The incubator says that residents have now raised approximately 23,5 million Euro (1 billion Rubles) over the past 4 years. Some of their more successful products have been the aforementioned Radario and dating-service Blabroom, social-media game developer Exteer, digital-production service 2Nova, LED Microsensor, coupon-aggregator Kupongid, and marketing-service CGPromo. In total, more than 80 startups now incubate at Ingria. The team at Ingria have put together a nice-looking page showing the incubator’s growth over the past few years, so it’s worth giving it a look.
Now, having reported on the $1,2 million (916,000 Euro) that Radario recently obtained from private investors, we can say that they have entered into a partnership Radio Record, the largest electronic-dance radio network in the country. I spoke with Dmitry Klenov, the PR manager from Ingria, and he told me the Radio Record organizes about 70 large dance events across Russia on a yearly basis and that they will allow Radario to manage ticket-sales on the Radio Record site as part of the agreement. Klenov tells me that Radario was offered a trial opportunity at the annual electronic dance music festival Sensation. Having passed the test, Radio Record has since contracted Radario for the upcoming Hospitality, Record Zero, and Armin Van Buuren concerts. Radio Record broadcasts in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Thailand and has more than 1,7 million fans on Vkontakte, being able to provide tickets for their events will be a big opportunity for Radario.
