Russian startup BubbleGab, an SaaS platform for the creation of next-generation social networks, announces that is has raised $1 million (772,000 Euro) from the Russian Venture Company (RVC) and Softline Venture Partners. The service allows creating social layer over any website, and the functionality includes social interaction, collaborative content consumption, videoconferencing and more.
According to the information provided by the company, all funding will be directed towards the completion of the project, the integration of the service with popular online web portals, and the completion of an API which will provide for the transfer of the content of popular networks to BubbleGab. The company expects to be profitable in 2015 and to repay the investment by 2016.
The purpose of the project is to allow users of a website to create personal pages and interact with other users. The content of the personal pages can be drawn from other social networks and blogs. The service is intended for online businesses interested in increasing user engagement and socialization of their sites. Further, the service will be available to all internet users who install the BubbleGap plug-in.
This becomes the second story that we have had about Softline in the past month, as they previously invested in IT-man, a Russian startup which offers a system for managing IT assets.
