Polish SoftFinder announces plans to give away more than 2,000 licenses for various computer programs as part of a “Great Software Hunt”. The contest is scheduled to begin and entrants must use the search tool to complete the tasks. As part of the contest, the company is offering licenses to products like Adobe Photoshop, Kaspersky Antivirus, Eylean Board, and Avast Pro Antivirus. Those interested should check out the full list of prizes being offered. In order to register for the event, you will need to sign up for an account on the site by email or through Facebook.
The company says that you need to register in order to learn the full details of the search. What we know is that, like any typical treasure hunt, users are expected to follow clues in order to find the prize. In this case, following clues will allow users to find vouchers which will be redeemable for the licenses.
The company says that 7 well-known software-producers, such as Orpalis, Aurora 3D software, S2 Solutions, UAB “Prewise”, Ashampoo, and Mariner Software will be offering their software as part of this event and that entrants will be able to choose the products that interest them.
I spoke with Liwia Klich, a marketing specialist at parent-company Red Sky, and she told me that this service was launched at the beginning of January 2013 and that their SoftFinder’s catalog of programs contained over 200,000 applications for Windows and Mac. I’m told that they already have 500,000 monthly users. Red Sky was founded in 2007 and has established a number of websites, including Filestube and Social Doe, the latter of which we covered a couple of months ago.
