Czech Reservio announces that fellow Brno-based startup Webnode has acquired an equity stake in the company that aims to simplify online appointment scheduling. This was originally reported in Tyinternety, but I decided to contact the company’s CEO and founder, Boris Bosiak, to see if he could tell me a bit more about the deal. Bosiak did not wish to disclose the terms of the deal, but said that Webnode offers his company both funding and technical know-how, which will help them to develop and grow.
In terms of plans, Bosiak says that current milestones are adding support for business categories (up from the current 38), adding a mobile version within probably the next 2 months, and adding support for languages, with Portuguese and Spanish being first on the list.
Reservio is free for most casual users, offering a plan which allows users to make 80 appointments, manage 500 clients, and maintaing a 3-month client history without having to drop any cash. If you’re interested in having the capacity to do more of each, you can sign up for plans at $10 (7.62 euro), $20 (15.25 euro), or $40 (30 euro). They’re all monthly payment plans and the highest-priced option offers users unlimited space with regards to number of appointments, number of clients, and length of client history.
In terms of competition, Bosiak says that their primary rivals are U.S.-based services like Appointment Plus, BookFresh, and Groupon Works and claims that the advantage that his company offers is in offering client-specific language and their freemium model.
