Polish company Social Wifi announced last week that they’ve obtained 1.1 million zloty (266,000 euro) in funding from Innovation Accelerator NOT and SATUS. There’s precious few details about the company from their own website, but Proseed Magazine reports that a pilot program for the service will launch at select restaurants in Poland in April and that it will launch to the public in May.
According to the original article about the news, the service provided by Social Wifi will operate on the principle of plug-and-play and that the businesses will be able to simply connect to the router and offer Wifi to their customers. The innovative aspect here is that users and owners will be able to communicate through social-networks like Facebook.
