Russian Internet company Tinkoff Digital announces the launch of MADNET, billed as Russia’s first mobile real-time bidding (RTB) ad platform. According to Tinkoff Digital, it’s the first company to partner with Google in Russia to offer mobile advertising impressions through the Google DoubleClick AdExchange and that it has signed agreements with such international mobile networks as SMAATO, MoPub, Mobclix, and HUNT Mobile Ads.
As far as the actual platform goes, the key features are its probability modeling system and automated decision-making and that it will be able to handle up to 2 billion monthly impressions from Russian traffic. The company says that this new platform supports all current advertising formats, including MMA and IAB, IAB for tablets, video advertising, expandable formats, floating banners, and interactive formats.
In recent months, we’ve seen Tinkoff Digital launch RTB platform Datamind and to obtain the online advertisement inventory from Russian search giant Yandex. Given the recent rise in popularity of smartphones and tablets, it seems pretty logical that Tinkoff Digital would focus expand their focus to include the mobile web. Tinkoff Digital was founded by multi-millionaire Oleg Tinkoff and appears to be positioning itself as the early leader in RTB in Russia.
