Polish venture fund Xevin Investments announces that it’s investing 700,000 PLN (168,000 euro) in Baby’s Secret Club, a shopping club geared towards mothers in Poland. This startup was founded in 2011 and offers toys and good to parents at discounts of up to 70%.
Ilona Lewkowicz says that Baby’s Secret Club came about because she and her fellow co-founders studied the Polish e-commerce market and realized that there was not a strong portal through which mothers could obtain toys, clothing, and accessories for their babies. She says that, in addition to acting as a retailer for products geared towards children, the team at Baby’s Secret Club wished to also develop a sense of community between new mothers.
As is common with investments, Xevin says that the new funding will be dedicated towards further developing the service and expanding marketing efforts.
We’ve written about Xevin previously when they invested in online pizza-service Skubacz. According to the press release put out on this news, this is now the 34th investment made by Xevin since its establishment in 2008. It’s also worth noting that Xevin is one of GoalEurope’s sponsors.
