There are a number of Internet companies offering stylist-based shoe shopping. In the US it is Shoedazzle, in the UK – StylistPick, while in Germany it is ChicChickClub backed by an angel CV fund Point Nine Capital.
Here is how they work. Website visitors are invited to take a quiz. It is no more than a list of photos from which the user must choose styles she likes. The questionnaire is simple and accessible to everyone, but to know the results and to get personalized recommendations you have to register. Registrations mean immadiate stats for investors and user demographic data. The suspense of knowing what my style truly is even got me registered.
In Poland such service is Modo.pl, which has just been officially launched by Xevin Investments, Polish venture fund with an Eastern European outlook.
Once the business is established in Poland, it is planned to introduce it to Bulgarian, Hungarian and Romanian fashionistas.
