Ukrainian TA Venture teamed up with Blumberg Capital and B-to-V Partners AG in backing German ecommerce business Urbanara, which sells high quality home textiles and goods sourced directly from the manufacturers around the world. It launched in Germany and Austria in February 2011, and now offers over 800 products and 10,000 customer orders in the first year of operation. Ukrainian and Russian producers are welcome to join Urbanara’s supplier network.
In Warsaw, Poland the startup coworking hotspot OpenReactor is organizing an event of beer, pizza and speakers which this time include a former VC Jerry Colonna and Markus Lampinen, the COO of a startup funding platform Grow VC. Semantic Q&A website Wisdio is a sponsor, but more sponsors are needed. The event will be streamed live, in case you won’t have a chance to attend in person.
