Out of the 19 finalists of The Next Web Startup Rally (Amsterdam, 25-27th of April 2012) three come from Eastern Europe (another four from the UK, four from Israel, three from The Netherlands and there is even one from South Korea).
Zapstreak aims to bring Airplay into Android media apps without any additional hardware. Airplay is Apple’s proprietary protocol that allows streaming photos, music and videos between the devices. Zapstreak is from Poznan, Poland.
AppMotion, which is launching at The Next Web later this month, creates a technology (and possibly also games, we can only speculate), which makes Nintendo Wii capabilities to the iOS-obsessed households. It transforms iPad into a console and a screen, whilst an iPhone is used as a controller. The technology is created by a software development company Appvetica from Warsaw, Poland, which specializes in mobile development for iOS platform.
Belladati is a cloud-based consumer analytics tool for the retail businesses. Its solutions are for both brick and mortar as well as online retailers. Belladati comes from Prague, Czech Republic.
