I was not so surprised to read the results of IT Jump competition today. The contest aimed at ranking country’s best IT projects, gaming and internet startups has brought predictable results.

Third place for the best IT project went to Quote Roller, which featured here a few times by now, having made it to the final of Startup Week Vienna, and came second at IDCEE in Kiev.

Viaden Media, the country’s most successful mobile app publisher won with a Cyclist Pro, an app which helps measure speed and other performance parameters, provide audio announcements of the progress, track cyclist’s goals and their achievements and show directions on iPhone and iPad. Another project which shared the first place for the IT project is Driving Kids, a MMORTS online educational games for preschool and early school children.

Fate of Nation, another MMORTS game has won the best gaming project, which has great similarities with Civilization. Belarus is also a birthplace to a very popular Game the World of Tanks.

Some of the places were not awarded, such as in the category for the best IT idea, the second place in the IT project category and the third place in the gaming category. Perhaps next year the contest will be more successful.
